Easy knitted cap pattern

I have been knitting over the holidays. A little, some light knitting that I don’t have to think to hard about. Looks like I’ve got a red theme going… Some house slippers… Easy pattern here Going to knit another pair for a girlfriend in the hospital. It has been cloudy and cold here, a little snow falling. So we have been watching some movies. I knitted an easy cap while watching Star Trek, (picked out by Steve) and Julie & Julia.   (for me).  This allows for a lot of knitting and spinning. Here is the pattern (see hat above) Easy Knitted Cap I used approx. 200 yds of worsted wt 100% wool Galway in dark red US 4 circular knitting needles or size to gauge(i use the magic loop method, see here ) Gauge = 17 sts and 24 rows, 4 x 4 swatch Cast on 76 stitches, be careful not to twist when joining the circle. Hot and cooking too

It is amazing, after days in a house in the 30's, the furnace comes on and 60 seems hot. Our amazing bodies get use to what they need to. Top things we didn't have for the power outage, but will next time. More candles, you can never have too many and don't forget the dry matches or lighter. Wool socks, yes, I love all of our hand knitted socks, but we really LOVED them this last week. A battery powered radio, that takes no more than 4 C batteries, if this is your sole source of info you would be surprised at how fast it goes dead (I am going to buy one of those crank ones ). They have some that even charge your phone and are solar. Water, we have a well, no power, no water. I have found some 5 gallon boxes to fill up, with a spout, these can be used to manually flush your toilet. We are big campers, so my husband manned the camping stove. This was a life saver, when your house is in the 30's even a cup of tea is a luxury. Happily for my husband, I am in a...
